What we do

While sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams have had their pick of great software to help with their work, much of accounting is still done manually in Excel sheets.

That’s exactly why we’re excited — there’s a wide open space to build great products in and truly transform the industry. As opposed to making something 5% better, we’re in the rare arena where we can make something 100% to 200% better & faster.

Starting with the month-end close, we’ve built and are continuing to invest in a suite of tools to help accountants automate the manual and inform business decisions with financial data.

Who we are

We have experienced founders and are fortunate to be well funded and be backed by great investors, including Founders Fund, Long Journey Ventures, and many founders and CFOs.

We are a small team and we plan on staying that way. We make tradeoffs to ensure that our team can operate with few distractions and maximal time for deep work.

We take business building seriously. We don’t take ourselves too seriously.

We’re above average at the foosball table.

Every other Thursday we explore a new lunch spot downtown near our SF office— but our favorite is squarely breakfast burritos at Il Canto.

We bring the NYC & SF office together roughly every quarter for brainstorming, hackathons, and some team bonding.

We look for entrepreneurs — often those who have founded companies or want to, are invested in functions beyond their own, and think deeply about how problems should be solved versus rolling out tried and true playbooks.

In essence, you get to the next “level” of your career (whether that’s leading a project, altering your role to what you enjoy the most, landing a new position, etc.) by absolutely kicking ass at your current level.

We often hire for slope and not y-intercept, everyone earns the right to tackle more.

We typically hire “business-building athletes” and give them large mandates with high-trust.

Engineers are responsible not just for code, but for ensuring the product is solving the end problems of the users. Marketers are not just responsible for blog posts or campaigns, but driving pipeline numbers.

One of the best parts of my role is being at the intersection of customer feedback and product innovation. I work closely with customers to understand their challenges, test solutions firsthand, and collaborate with our EPD team to shape tools that solve real-world problems. That constant feedback loop keeps me excited about what we’re building.
